Burbage Skyline fell race - 12th May 2020

One of Dark Peak's two "other" fell races, 7.0Km with 189 metres of climb, a brilliant route with something for everyone.

The 2020 event will be held on Tuesday 12th May at 7.30 pm. Pre-entry ONLY, £7.00 limited to 400 runners. Entries will open on Saturday 4th April and close on Saturday 9th May. (The 2019 race was over subscribed so early entry advised). Please note that there are no refunds, and no substitutions can be made after the entry system closes.

Race day

Registration at the Fox House Inn, SK267803, allow 10 minute walk to the start, registration will close at 7.15pm.

This race is held under FRA Rules and runners must familiarize themselves with and comply with the FRA Rules for Runners 2020, via the FRA website.

Race Kit

The kit runners are required to carry is at the discretion of the Race Organiser, depending on the weather conditions. All runners should bring FRA Best Practice kit with them in case the weather is bad. A decision will be made on the evening. If the weather is good, there will be no mandatory kit requirement - as has been the case for the past few years.

FRA Best Practice Kit is waterproof whole body cover (taped seams and attached hood) + hat + gloves + map + compass + whistle + emergency food.

If there is a kit requirement then mandatory kit inspections may be performed on race day and you will not be admitted to start the race unless you have passed this inspection. A further check may be undertaken on completion of the race – anyone completing the race without the required kit will be disqualified and reported to the FRA.

Your race number must not be folded or cut down and, at the start, all checkpoints and the finish, must be clearly visible on your chest.
